Review New Frigidaire FFRE0633Q1

Quieter than most other air conditioners, cools well, quickly, great price. Four days in there is grinding noise when on lower temperature setting, but still quieter than other a.c.'s. Seems hit or miss when buying an air conditioner these days and they don't make them like they used to -- and hit or miss with packaging and shipping (and possible damage). The remote is easy to use, even in the middle of the night with lights off. This is a powerful unit, more powerful than my previous two LG 8000 units. Overall very happy with it.
Received product unusually quickly from Amazon Seller: Home and Garden Club.

Compared with others a.c.'s:
Had 2 LG 8000 units before, shipped from Home Depot -- both incredibly loud. So loud that when my work moved to doing phone work -- I could not hear over the a.c. Just before this Frigidaire 6000, I ordered Frigidaire 10,000 from Home Depot - returned it; didn't cool, very noisy (packaged poorly may have damaged in shipping).

Works great, but I received it damaged. About a 2 square inch area in the back had crushed fins that allowed no air flow. I was able to straighten out the fins with about 30 minutes work and then installed the unit. It keeps our otherwise sweltering poorly insulated bedroom nice and comfortable. Our bedroom is a little over 250 square feet and has vaulted ceilings. This unit still cools it just fine. I keep it at 72 degrees.

I think this unit is fairly quiet. It's a bit noisier than a quiet fan running on high in my opinion. I personally like the white noise while I sleep.
